This region is particularly suited to cycling and hiking excursions, due to its numerous marked pathways. From the hotel itself there are 3 different trails you can use for Nordic walking. If you wish to bring your horse, it can be stabled at the equestrian facility which is located just 1 km from the hotel. It is also possible to borrow a horse from here. Grenzau is a district of Höhr-Grenzhausen, well known for its ceramic industry which has earned it the nick-name Kannenbäckerstadt (jug-baking town). Therefore the Westerwald Ceramics Museum is well worth a visit.
